I am not sure if like me you feel as if everyday is like a scene in Bill Murray’s movie Ground Hog Day. Week after week the news is the same, wokeness, indoctrination, Jim Crow on steroids, and the list goes on and on. What’s truly amazing though is the disregard for logic, proof and what people actually believe.
The big news last was President Biden’s State of the Union. I would be lying if I told you, it was an event that I was looking forward to. Here is a guy who President Obama’s own Secretary of Defense said, was on the wrong side of every single major issue for the last 40 years. (Here) The same guy who said he graduated in the top of his law school class when in reality he was number 76 out of 85. Hell, he is the one guy who makes “W” look like a rocket scientist. So, as you can guess I passed just like so many other Americans. I don’t think we missed much.
On the top of last weeks news is a piece penned by Victor Davis Hansen titled “The New Antiracism is old Racism”. What I like about VDH is he calls bullshit on bullshit and chronicles the hypocrisy. This piece is concise and gets right to the point.
Systemic Racism, a term I am tired of hearing. But what is it? Everyone has their own meaning and understanding of the term. Bari Weiss of Common Sense corroborates with several prominent Americans on what it means to them in the piece “What is Systemic Racism?”.
John McWhorter whose writings I enjoy asks a question that I think many people want to ask but are unable to do in his publication of It Bears Mentioning. The piece is titled “Do Black People Enjoy Being Told They Are Weak & Dumb? The Elect Hope So.”
The indoctrination of youth in Hitler’s Germany did nothing more than to lead to many more deaths and destruction at the end of WW2. Erika Sanzi of City Journal outlines what is taking place in many schools. “The Monster is in the Classroom.” How is this not abuse?
Finally in the category of “You Just Can’t Make This Shit Up” are four pieces that just blew my mind. The first is a piece appearing in VOX by Sean Illing in which he interviews James Carville. (Here) In full disclosure, I like Carville we share some of the same loves of Louisiana, New Orleans, and LSU. Politically we differ. I just find it hard to believe he actually believes some of the things he says.
“Living in the world of pant-on-fire lies”, Nicole Hemmer of CNN tries to blame FOX News for all that ills us coming from the media. I guess she forgot about Chris Cuomo interviewing his brother or of The Russian Hoax stories CNN reported on a couple years ago. That sure is the pot calling the kettle black.
The preceding are everyday run of the mill talking points. The next two are like “WOW”! I was having a problem on which was the worst, and I just cannot decide. So, you can determine.
Before he was killed Malcom X said, “The white liberal is the worst enemy to America and the worst enemy to the black man…”. Well Malcom must be rolling in his grave because this is textbook. Newsweek published an opinion “Dismantling America’s White Supremacists System” by Meggie Abendschen. This is a step back WOW piece.
Then we have a so-called institute of higher learning, Tulane, inviting, Hunter Give me the crack pipe, my brothers dead so I can do his wife Biden giving a talk on Media Polarization. How beautiful is that? Like I said, you cannot even make that shit up. WOW, WOW.
Tulane is not some Juco or second tier school. It cost $80,232.00 a year to attend and included in that is listening to Hunter Biden. That is just mind blowing and we just wonder what is wrong with our country.
