Last week the news that dominated was that of race. Throughout all of that once again the curtain was pulled back to expose the lack of leadership in our elected government overlords and the propaganda spread by the media wanna-be’s.
As someone who watched the Derick Chauvin trial, one of the most surprising things considering all the protest and media attention was the lack of the prosecution to use race. (Here) Like everyone who saw the video last year, I was appalled. As the evidence was presented it was also sadly apparent Mr. Floyd was also complicit in his own death as was Daunte Wright and Ma’Khia Bryant.
Anyone who has lived life knows decisions you make, good and bad follow you. In an article appearing in American Thinker by Ted Noel, MD titled, Understanding How “Critical Events” Lead to People Getting Killed by The Police, Dr. Noel breaks it down for the Daunte Wright case as follows.
Events involving Daunte Wright:
Participation in a violent crime
Violation of his bail conditions
Failure to keep his car properly registered.
Resisting arrest
Attempting to flee
For the officer, we find:
Possibly inadequate training involving Taser and firearm discipline.
Failure to identify which weapon the officer was holding.
I would like to add the Brooklyn Center Police Department for even having the officer on the street.
The same can be said of the two other incidents. Decisions made may cost lives or more importantly, your life.
The Right to a Fair Trial
The right to a fair trial is one rights we are entitled to. Did Chauvin receive a fair trial? Was this justice or retribution? There is no doubt in my mind he deserves jail time. An alternate juror already came out and said she was intimidated. (Here) The city publicly settles before the trial. Finally, we have the distinguished lady from California who is sworn to uphold the Constitution calling for riots, something she accused Trump of doing and voted to impeach him. She demanded Chauvin be found guilty on something he was not even charged with. The tactics being used by this lady were those used by the KKK in an era I have no desire to return to. While I am not a lawyer, based on my reading and understanding we will have a second Chauvin trial.
Policing is an extremely hard job. There is no way in the world I would want to do it. The pay and hours suck but, it is something we need. We also all know some guy or girl from school that does the job for power. While those may be few and far in between, we know they are out there. Based on what I have been able to find, Chauvin may have been one like that. In other words, he was a dick. The problem is he was not charged with being a dick.
As someone who always wanted to make my point, I learned a long time ago to do it at a time or place where if I lost, I could fight another day. A human cannot outrun a radio.
Intelligentsia Strikes Again
To me it is amazing, we always seem to accept the opinion as it is right without seeking verification to theories from a bunch of “dumb asses” from “elite schools”. You know the schools. The ones with huge endowments and cite diversification of their student body that the students are paying for with student loans.
Now from the “brightest” comes the idea it is racist to ask for answers on tests. John McWhorter pens another piece, “No More Tests” in the publication It Bears Mentioning.
I am not sure about you; I would hate to be on a bridge that collapse because the designer could not calculate loads.
Finally
We have already established just because one has an Ivy League degree means they are smart. Now a case can be made just because you have millions means you are smart too. Check out the tweet. Thank you, LeBron James.
