Just my thoughts.

Much has been made about Mark Cuban’s decision about not playing the National Anthem before Dallas Mavericks home games. My question is why?  I do not agree with Mr. Cubans decision, however, he owns the team, and he has the right to do what he wants. If you do not agree, do not support his business. It is that simple.

If you believe in the First Amendment, you should be fine with it too.

When some NFL players decided to kneel for the National Anthem, fans directed their anger at the players. Players claimed it was their first amendment rights. Both were wrong. Most owners may be successful businesspeople, but in this case, they had no balls. While they threw players under the bus, it was their decision. Free speech in a private business has no legs. Even if the business is publicly traded.

I know this for a fact. I was working for an international company. Many people from a competitive company could have American Flags on their jackets. I tried to get one on my jacket. I was basically told; it is against company policy. Failure to adhere can result in termination. That made my decision easy. I enjoy eating too much.

You may not agree with Mark Cuban but if you believe in the First Amendment it is his right. Just like it is your right to say F.U. Cuban, I do not agree and will not watch or buy tickets for the game. That is what is beautiful about the First Amendment, it is your choice.
